I finally watched this movie. I found it touching and was absorbed in the plot and picturesesque outdoor setting While intrigued by the love story aspect. I definitely felt bad for the wives and the mental anguish the wife of Ennis experienced. The ending was gut wrenching. I could only feel compassion for those that have gone through something similar.
My dad would launch into a tirade if I expressed this to him as he would be disgusted when Will and Grace came on the TV, when I was a teen and wasn't too fond of us watching the program.
Watching this film was my own personal last hurrah/reminder, that I'm happy to have faded this year and completely accept that what other people do in terms of their sex life, abortion, tattoo's etc. is none of my business. I only wish more people would practice safer sex and not have children until they can financially and emotionally provide for them. Education is the way to improve these issues.
Live and let live.
To thyne own self, be true.
